KaylA

Kayla grew up befriending and loving any animal that crossed her path. This love of animals has guided her career choices: petfood supply store manager, reptile and amphibian husbandry expert, exotic/farm animal veterinary technician, dog trainer assistant and now loving every second as a groomer. Kayla's favorite part about grooming is connecting with clients, building a relationship with the animals she grooms, and basking in their glow once they've completed the marathon that is a full groom session, provided in the comfort of your home. Fear-Free certified -ask us what that means!

Kayla especially loves grooming doodles, poodles and large bully breeds

Krista

Krista’s path to dog grooming was inspired by her own colorful Yorkichon named Chloe. Styling Chloe to match her own eccentric vibe inspired Krista to attend The Central Jersey Grooming Academy and complete her certification for six months of hands-on training. She then moved to LA to start her grooming career in July 2019 where she had the chance to work with well known groomer Huber Pineda. When the pandemic hit she decided it was time to relocate to Portland, Oregon. Krista has had the opportunity to work for several high-end salons in the Portland area with other well known groomers in the industry. Those experiences really helped her fine tune her skills. She was also able to get professionally certified through IPGA in November 2023. She is known for her fear-free handling techniques and is also very passionate about understanding dogs by reading their body language. She feels this personalized approach is lacking in the grooming industry and makes it a priority to treat every pet with the utmost respect. Her goal is to give your fur-baby the best care possible when it comes to their grooming needs. Krista has a diverse background and has worked in many creative fields as a fashion designer, window / visual display merchandiser, and makeup artist before launching her own KD Chic accessories line in 2014. She loves to pour her creative energy into something she feels truly passionate about, which is making dogs look and feel great.  This led to her love of glamming dogs up by adding color or accessories.
